- An ADJECTIVE describes a person, place, or thing. Sleepy, cute, messy, and mischievious are adjectives that describe Isaac.
- A VERB is an action word. Skip, chase, jump, and whallop are all verbs.
- An ADVERB describes in what way someone does something. Quickly, cautiously, beautifully, and accidentally are all adverbs with an increasing number of syllables.
